Jade & Nathan’s Pastel Rainbow Wedding at Pheasant Run & Cork Factory Hotel

Jade and Nathan’s wedding was a celebration that seamlessly blended rustic charm with modern elegance, set against the backdrops of Pheasant Run Bed and Breakfast and the Cork Factory Hotel. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that every detail was thoughtfully chosen to create a day that was as vibrant and full of love as they are.

Jade’s vision for the day was nothing short of magical. She chose a muted/pastel rainbow color scheme that found its way into every aspect of the wedding—from the mismatched bridesmaids' dresses to the colorful napkins, centerpieces, and even the drinkware. The mix-and-match aesthetic could have easily felt disjointed, but instead, it all came together in the most beautiful way. The colors perfectly complemented each other, creating a harmonious blend that tied together the rustic chic vibes of Pheasant Run with the modern, romantic, and industrial atmosphere of the Cork Factory Hotel.

One thing that stood out to me was how much Jade and Nathan prioritized their guests’ experience. They extended the cocktail hour to accommodate the change in venues, making sure everyone was well-fed and having fun long before the reception even began. The cocktail hour featured a stunning charcuterie spread, an open bar, and plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. From lawn games to an interactive guest book where guests helped paint a picture for the couple, there was no shortage of fun. My personal favorite? The custom watercolor portraits painted by Lavender and Linseed that served as wedding favors, along with thrifted goblets for guests to use and take home—a sweet and personal touch that showed just how much Jade and Nathan love their people.

During the reception, we did something I don’t see too often but absolutely loved—a table dash. Jade and Nathan made it their mission to get a picture with each table before the song ended, ensuring they captured memories with every single guest who came to celebrate with them.

Jade and Nathan are one of the sweetest couples I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. Their wedding was almost entirely DIY’d, with Nathan working hard all morning to make sure Jade’s vision came together perfectly. Both of them were so excited for their first look that they could hardly wait, but in the hustle and bustle of the day, they both forgot to write the letters they had planned to exchange.

As I was setting Nathan in place for the first look, Jade quickly scribbled down her letter, and when I asked Nathan about his, he sheepishly admitted he’d forgotten too. We shared a laugh, and I assured him that Jade had done the same. When I told Jade, she wasn’t shocked at all. Instead, she smiled and said, “Oh my god, we’re made for each other.” Their first look was filled with hugs, kisses, and shared laughter, a perfect representation of their relationship—loving, understanding, and full of joy.

Even though we were only at Pheasant Run for the ceremony, the venue left a lasting impression. Nestled among tall trees and lush woods, with a water feature, sweet farm cats, and horses, it was a stunning setting for outdoor portraits. Jade fell in love with the Cork Factory Hotel but needed an outdoor ceremony, and Pheasant Run delivered on all fronts. The owner was incredibly kind, offering lemonade and cold drinks to Jade, Nathan, and me during their portraits—a sweet touch that made the experience even more special. I’m already looking forward to the day I can photograph a full wedding at this beautiful venue.

Jade and Nathan’s wedding was a true reflection of who they are—thoughtful, creative, and deeply in love. It was an honor to capture their day, and I can’t wait to share more from their beautiful celebration. Check out the slideshow below for a sneak peek of their special day!
